Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating story to the Cambodia casinos that sit just over the border from nearby Thailand, in which casino wagering is not allowed. Eight casinos are anchored in a relatively small area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia gambling dens is in a prime location, a 3 to 4 hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and travelers from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The astonishing income gained from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to over twelve and a half million dollars, and there are a few restrictions constraints for casino ownership. Ownership is assumed to be mostly Thai; although, funding sources are cryptic. The borders are ceremoniously open from 09:00 to 1700, and despite the fact visas are supposedly required to pass, there are methods and means around this, as is accurate of most border crossings.

The original Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary ship gambling den, highlights 150 slots and 60 table games. The Naga gambling den is open all day and night with forty two tables of mini-baccarat, 4 tables of 21, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are one hundred and fifty slot machine games and five table games at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slots and 68 table games at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features three hundred one armed bandits and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and ninety six table games, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the familiar table games, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight casinos in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slots and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an all-around resort and hotel building that contains numerous amenities accompanying the gambling den, which houses 10,000 square feet of 130 slot machines and eighty eight tables.
